Domino’s Pizza to sponsor new ITV show

Domino’s Pizza is to be the broadcast sponsor of new ITV1 dating show Take Me Out.

Take Me Out is due to air in early 2010 and will be presented by comedian Paddy McGuinness.

The studio-based show will feature 30 women from across the UK looking for the right man. One single man will walk into an arena of 30 single women, announce his name and where he is from. Each of the girls have a light in front of them, and if at any point they decide this guy is not for them, they switch him off.

The deal was negotiated by ITV Commercial and Domino’s sales and marketing director Robin Auld. He says: “Sponsorship has long been an important part of the Domino’s marketing strategy, which already includes Britain’s Got Talent, and we are pleased to be working with ITV again on this Saturday night, prime-time show.”

Domino’s previously sponsored The Simpsons on BSkyB but withdrew when new broadcasting regulations regarding marketing foods high in salt, sugar and fat within programmes with high numbers of young viewers were introduced.

Sponsorship idents for Take Me Out will be created by Big Communications.
