Dove unveils hi-tech skin protection shower gel

Unilever is launching a body wash range under the Dove brand that is formulated to protect skin from damage caused by showering.

The Dove VisibleCare range will be available exclusively in Morrisons before later appearing on shelves at major supermarkets and high street chemists such as Boots.

Unilever claims the VisibleCare body wash range is a “groundbreaking innovation” that marks a significant step forward in skincare and cleansing technology.

Dove VisibleCare uses NutriumMoisture, a trademarked technology that Unilever has been developing for ten years. It claims to blend lipids and glycerin to create moisturisers identical to natural skin moisturisers.

Dove is targeting women with the range of three pearlescent shower cream variants with different skin benefits; Renewing, Brightening and Softening.

The company says the range is scientifically proven to reduce the damage caused by daily cleansing for healthier and more beautiful skin.

Dove skincare expert Atoshi Ghosal says: “Like our iconic Dove beauty bar, Dove VisibleCare with NutriumMoisture will change what people expect from a shower gel.”
