Stihl re-signs as Superbike Championship sponsor
Outdoor power tool company Stihl GB has re-signed with commercial rights holder MotorSport Vision as an Official Sponsor of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship for the third consecutive year.
As part of its sponsorship rights, Stihl will continue to enjoy branding at all events and trackside fans can view all of the action all of the time on the Stihl Giant TV.
New for 2010 will be the Stihl KTM RC8 VIP bike to give guests the ultimate power experience.
The ‘Stihl Power Award’ returns for 2010 giving both Superbike competitors and fans the chance to win a great Stihl prize.
Based on the ‘holeshot’ principle of being the first rider to reach the first corner, passing the Stihl marker board, riders are entered into a season long league with the first in each race judged from spectators’ own photographs uploaded to the Championship website.

The competition’s twelve events held across the UK will again be broadcast live on British Eurosport, with further highlights on both British Eurosport and the ITV network.
