Malmaison recruits easyJet marketer

Former Travelodge and easyJet marketer Alistair Buckle has been appointed as group marketing director for Malmaison and Hotel Du Vin.

Buckle’s last position was a head of CRM and new product development at BAA Airports. He left after a restructure following the takeover of BAA by Spanish company Ferrovial.

Malmaison operates 12 luxury hotels under the brand while Hotel Du Vin has 15 sites. Group marketing manager for the brands isEmma Benney. 

The brands are owned by MWB, which also owns the Liberty department store chain.

While at easyJet, Buckle held the title head of European marketing and oversaw the appointment of the low cost airline’s first advertising agency and development of its first television campaign.
