Nectar links up with fitness device
Loyalty scheme Nectar has linked up with health and well being company Fitbug to offer points for customers pursuing a healthier lifestyle.
Fitbug offers personal health and well-being services by combining a small gadget called The Bug with web technology to record daily activity and healthy eating. The pocket-sized Bug is carried around by the user.
Nectar collectors can now earn points as a reward for physical activity and eating a healthy diet. For instance, users earn one Nectar point for making between 6,000 to 9,999 steps per day.
The Nectar-branded Fitbug will be promoted by the Canadian-owned company via a range of channels, including the Nectar website.
Nectar managing director Jan-Pieter Lips says: “A young, innovative company like Fitbug is an exciting and innovative addition to the Nectar portfolio.”
