Musto earns Royal Warrants

Outdoor clothing brand, Musto, has been granted two Royal Warrants from Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh.

Musto has provided quality outdoor clothing for country sports and sailing to both Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh to facilitate their outdoor lifestyle for over five years, and received the Royal Warrant in recognition for this work.

Musto chief executive, Nigel Musto, says: “Musto has always strived to produce the highest quality performance clothing, so we are extremely proud to have this honour bestowed upon us at a time of significant growth for our business. We are very much looking forward to continuing to supply The Royal Household for many years to come.”

Olympic Silver Medallist Keith Musto originally founded the company in 1965.

More recently, it has expanded into the lifestyle clothing market, developing a marine inspired range of casual wear.

It is a long-standing sponsor of Zara Phillips and they have recently created the Zara Phillips Collection designed in collaboration with Zara.

They also provide equestrian clothing for William Fox-Pitt and Tina Cook, and sailing clothing for BTTE Team Ellen (Ellen MacArthur) and the British national sailing team Skandia Team GBR.

The brand continues to grow both its wholesale and retail operations in the UK, with a further 8 stand alone retail stores planned to open in the 2010, to compliment its existing portfolio of 15 stores.

In August, it appointed Mostyn Thomas as marketing director.
