Phones4u appoints Eden to £10m media account

Phones4u, the mobile phone retailer, has appointed Eden – adam & eve and the7stars new media division – to handle £10m media planning and buying account.

The joint venture between Adam & Eve and the7stars won the account following a competitive pitch against three other agencies, including incumbent MediaVest Manchester. The appointment takes effect immediately.

Jon Forsyth Adan and Eve’s founding partner, led the pitch, in partnership with the7stars.

According to Phones4u, Eden will be a dedicated communications planning and media buying business.

Russell Braterman, Phones4u marketing director, says: “Phones 4u are always looking for bold and innovative ways to get more creativity and impact – the quality of the Eden team, the flexibility of the buying model and the ability to reach our core youth market with dynamic ideas convinced us that Eden were the right partners”

Forsyth adds: “It’s an exciting development for us and very much in line with the demand for more integrated solutions. As a young communications agency it is natural for us to broaden into this area and the 7stars are the perfect partner for us. They combine heavyweight media buying with bespoke clients deals, which promotes the most efficient and creative delivery of ideas.”

The retailer has been reviewing its media business since January.

Adam & Eve was appointed to handle the retailer’s £7m advertising account following a three-way pitch against Mother and incumbent WCRS .
