EasyJet rolls out ski campaign on London Underground

EasyJet is launching a new advertising campaign called The Orange Line on the London Underground, which will run in selected tube stations.

From 1 February, easyJet will roll-out a bespoke winter ski campaign on the London Underground using the iconic tube map design as inspiration.

Tube passengers will see a new “Orange Line” that shows potential skiers which resorts are served by easyJet’s various ski airports.

EasyJet says it will be a heavyweight campaign and is the first time that it has created and executed a campaign specifically for the Underground. Publicis London has created it.

Last month, EasyJet chief executive officer Andrew Harrison announced he is to leave the low cost airline in June. The airline says it expects to see a “substantial” profit improvement in 2010.

Yesterday, it reported a 20% increase in foreign passengers flying with the airline, helping it fly 11 million customers and make revenues of £607.5m, a 10% increase on 2008.
