New ITV management looks to review services

ITV may introduce a pay-per-view service for ITV 2, 3 and 4 under its new chief executive Andy Crozier, according to a report in The Telegraph.

Sources say ITV will undergo a thorough strategic review process, which will rule nothing out, including a move away from free-to-air advertising model to a much broader media platform by increasing its use of on-demand-video.

The new management team is thought to be looking at ways to improve the production side of the broadcasting group and its online offering.

Chairman, Archie Norman, told The Telegraph that he is keen to address the high level of legislation that the broadcaster is subject to which means the TV sector is more disadvantaged than new media.

The broadcaster appointed former Royal Mail chief Andy Crozier as its new chief executive last week after months of speculation and troubled negotiations.

Crozier joined Archie Norman, who was appointed as the broadcaster’s chairman in November last year.
