The awards are designed to recognise creativity, innovation and execution across all marketing disciplines and celebrate only ‘The Best’ creative work, focusing on the message: “Creativity uninhibited delivers results.”

Amongst the nominees, Touch DDB and Saatchi & Saatchi X are acknowledged with 14 and 12 nominations respectively, with INITIALS Marketing, Elvis Communications and Arc Worldwide also faring well.

Those up for the acclaimed award of Best Agency of the Year include last year’s winner Elvis Communications, as well as EHS Brann, Frank PR, MBA, Saatchi & Saatchi X and The Big Kick.

The winners will be decided by a number of marketing experts with the client judging panel headed up by Marc Michaels, director of direct and relationship marketing, COI; the creative judging panel is chaired by John Treacy, creative director at Elvis Communications.

Treacy says of the judging process: “This year there has been a real hunger to find the very best creative across all the categories. The digital categories in particular demonstrated incredible innovation and creative thinking.”

Mike Spicer, Chairman of the MCCA adds: “To generate the most impact and long lasting results, pushing the boundaries of creativity is absolutely critical.

“2009 was a tough year, with agencies under more pressure than ever, but this has far from dampened creative output. In fact, it has provided inspiration and dynamism, with some agencies producing their most engaging work yet. We can’t wait to find out who will be rewarded with a Best Award.”

The full shortlist can be found at www.bestawards.co.uk. The awards will be announced at the ceremony on 4th March.
