National Accident Helpline plumps for CST

Personal injury legal specialist the National Accident Helpline has handed its £11m advertising business to Chick Smith Trott.

The company, launched in 1993, reviewed its advertising business with the help of intermediary Billetts Haystack.

The incumbent was Media Circus of Manchester and the review was overseen by head of marketing Beth Powell. CST is thought to have beaten MBA in the final pitch.

MediaVest Manchester will be workign on the media planning and buying.

The National Accident Helpline works on a “no win, no fee” basis. In 2006 venture capitalist LDC backed a management buyout of the company.

The helpline also owns NoWinNoFeeClaims.com, and Benchmark Insurance.

Rival Claims Direct overhauled its brand positioning in July with a new logo and strapline following the appointment of digital agency GraphicoDMG.

CST has just been bought for £430,000 cash by Media Square from Cagney.
