Network Rail puts £100m account out to tender

Network Rail has put its £100m media contract out to tender under statutory review, covering adverts placed across its 18 core stations.

The £100m railside contract went out to tender earlier this week, and will cover a five-year period.

The contract has the option of being extended for a further two years, dependent on the winning contractor’s performance.

The railside contract includes all rail-facing ad sites across the Network Rail estate, including six-sheets, Transvision screens and large-format sites across the 18 main Network Rail-managed stations, which include Birmingham New Street, Cannon Street, Charing Cross, Edinburgh Waverley, Euston, Fenchurch Street Gatwick,Glasgow Central, King’s Cross, Leeds and Manchester Piccadilly

A spokesperson for the company says Network Rail is looking for a long-term partner to invest and improve the media used in the stations.

In December, Network Rail put its £100m contract to sell advertising space on its roadside advertising hoardings out to pitch. The pitch is still ongoing, with Titan the incumbent agency.

Network Rail’s roster of agencies include Clinic, Communique360, Golley Slater and Partners, Initiative Media London, IPM, Iris London, Kinetic Worldwide and Partners Andrews Aldridge.
