Bulldog launches Fairtrade skincare for men

Bulldog, natural skincare brand for men, is launching a range of Fairtrade products.

Bulldog claims it is the first male grooming brand to launch a Fairtrade range.

The range includes Eco-System Shave Gel and Eco-System Moisturiser made from Fairtrade ingredients including green tea from Sri Lanka, organic shea butter from Ghana, organic sugar from Paraguay, sesame seed oil from Nicaragua, and Brazil nut oil from Peru.

The range launches today (15 February), a week before Fairtrade Fortnight, which runs from 22 February to 4 March.

Male grooming brands have stepped up their game this year with new launches from Gillette, King of Shaves and Dove, which launched Men+Care, its range for men earlier this year.

Gillette launched its Fusion ProGlide series in the US last week while King of Shaves launched its Azor M Alloy System.

Simon Duffy, co-founder of Bulldog, says: “I am delighted that Bulldog is able to offer Fairtrade skincare products to men for the first time. The products perform brilliantly and it’s also very humbling to know that our Fairtrade range will provide a better deal for producers trying to build a sustainable livelihood for their communities. We now hope our competitors will follow Bulldog’s lead and embrace Fairtrade.”
