Carbon Trust reviews agencies

The Carbon Trust, the Government body set up to help cut carbon emissions, is reviewing its agencies as part of a statutory review.

The body is looking to appoint a roster of eight agencies, including a lead agency for a four-year contract.

The roster of agencies will handle all The Carbon Trust’s long-term strategic and short term tactical marketing including branding, advertising, digital activity, direct and relationship marketing to raise awareness of the Carbon Trust Group and its services, drive the acquisition of new customers and to maintain relationships with existing customers.

After the first two-year contract, all agencies on the roster will be eligible to tender to be the lead agency.

The Carbon Trust has divided its marketing function into six categories and hopes to appoint one agency or consortium across all the categories.

The Carbon Trust currently works with VCCP and WCRS.

In February, Universal McCann was appointed to handle its £4m consolidated media buying account.
