Karmarama’s first task will be helping the IHT promote The Female Factor, with a communications campaign aimed at influential women in business and government.

The campaign will launch in March, to coincide with the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day.

The Female Factor is a year-long series in the IHT, examining the most recent shifts in women’s power, prominence and impact on societies around the world, and assessing how women are influencing early 21st century development.

John Scully, head of marketing for the IHT, says Karmarama’s work “will enable us to bring the IHT’s unique international perspective on an important issue to a much wider audience.”

Nicola Mendelsohn, chairman of Karmarama, adds: “The International Herald Tribune is a media brand delivering a truly different perspective through the launch of The Female Factor.”
