Fujitsu sets sights on raising brand awareness

Fujitsu UK is to reposition its brand perception following the consolidation of the company into a single organisation.

The company has appointed GyroHSR as its lead agency for marketing activity across the UK and Ireland, following a competitive pitch managed by Oystercatchers, as first revealed by Marketing Week.

The integrated agency has been tasked with increasing targeted awareness of Fujitsu’s brand in the UK and Ireland. This will include creating a “clear expression” of its products and services.

GyroHSR will also create and implement strategic marketing campaigns to create new business opportunities for Fujitsu with both private and public sector organisations.

Fujitsu UK and Ireland marketing director Vince Kerr says: “With the creation of a single Fujitsu organisation in the UK and Ireland, the time is right to introduce the new Fujitsu to this market.

“We have a great story to tell and we believe GyroHSR has the right skills and experience to help us create the awareness and understanding of Fujitsu that will make us a market leading brand.”

Fujitsu UK and Ireland offers an integrated IT product and service portfolio. This includes consulting, applications, systems integration, managed services and product for customers in the retail, financial services, telecoms, government, defence and consumer sectors.

Last year, the company appointed former Thomas Cook and Post Office marketer Simon Carter as marketing director, UK Government.
