Samsung extends Be Diva push with modelling contest

Samsung is extending its Be Diva marketing campaign by sponsoring the Elite Model Look modelling contest.

The contest, which is in its 27th year, and has launched the careers of models such as Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista and Gisele Bundchen, has partnered with Samsung Mobile as its headline sponsors for the second consecutive year. The UK event will be renamed the Samsung Diva Elite Model Look this year.

The event will also be supported by Warehouse, who will be known as the Style Partner. Elite Model Look UK applicants can submit their photos for the 2010 search online until June 30.

A 10-date national tour where applicants can enter the contest in person will kick off in late March 2010. The tour will visit London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Glasgow, Cardiff, Southampton, Leeds and Essex.

The tour will also feature a variety of fashion and beauty treats and the chance to get involved in a live catwalk and the Warehouse Styling Studio, where the Warehouse team will be on hand to offer their expertise and give girls a chance to appear on Warehouse Style Studio TV and attend exclusive store parties.

The top 70 girls who apply through the tour and online will be invited to the Elite Model Look UK National Casting in July, where the final 10 will be selected. The event culminates in a showpiece national final in the summer, with full details of this exciting event to follow soon.
