Leisure to sponsor Country House Cooking Contest

Range Cooker manufacturer Leisure is to sponsor a new daytime cookery show, Country House Cooking Contest which starts today (8 March) on ITV1.

The hour-long show which will air between 4-5pm for five days, is presented by British chef, John Burton Race and follows six amateur cooks as they compete to prepare a menu fit for the aristocracy.

One person will be eliminated each day, leaving two finalists to battle it out to win a £1,000 prize in the final on Friday 12 March.

The sponsorship negotiated by AMS media will consist of a 15 second introduction, six 10 second break bumpers and a five second closing credit.

The idents which were developed by creative agency, Mercieca, play on the noble theme of the show and the ’Love Food Love Leisure’ strapline, features three paintings of aristocrats eating, with the final frame containing a painting of a Leisure ’Range 90’ cooker.
