Ridley takes over from Eric Newnham, who will now take on the global chairman role.
Kinetic says the changes “reflect the onset of a new era for Kinetic and its emphasis as the global leader in understanding how brands can connect with people’s lifestyles and the environments they use”.
Ridley adds that: “The next phase of Kinetic’s development will be a move away from an out of home specialist positioning and an affirmation of our transition towards an environment and lifestyle offering. This very much reflects our global objectives to be market leader in every territory that we exist for both the strategic planning and implementation of all forms of lifestyle experiences and media environments.”
In July last year the company appointed Simon Crisp as CEO for the Europe, the Middle East and Africa replacing David Payne, who transferred to Kinetic’s US operations in April.
The agency has global billings of $4.4bn.
