The TV ads are part of a £4.5m marketing investment for Whiskas Simply in 2010, and champion the taste credentials of the Whiskas Simply range.
The 30-second ads will air at the end of March and use the strapline, “My cat loves Whiskas and I love my cat”.
Whiskas says the ads aim to communicate pet owners want their pets to enjoy their food as much as they do.
The ad shows a cat owner preparing her own meal and talking about how she and her cat share a love of quality food and goes on to feed the cat Whiskas Simply.
Whiskas Simple was launched in February as a premium healthy petfood range including a selection of grilled and steamed variants and no artificial flavourings or preservatives.
Mars Petcare launched a marketing campaign to drive sales and boost penetration of its Pedigree brand snack food and treat ranges, Pedigree Dentastix and Core Treats range.
