Wash & Go, the Procter & Gamble owned 2in1 shampoo and conditioner, is celebrating 21 years with a spoof viral campaign starring footballer Jimmy Bullard.
The viral ad recreates the brand’s 1980s advert using the line: “Take two bottles into the shower? Not me… I just Wash & Go”.
The brand wants to communicate that it has provided provides “great hair with no fuss” for 21 years.
P&G says the brand adopted the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach to the ad campaign and used the same concept and script while at the same time recognising the comedic value in the 1980s ad.
Wash & Go has also launched a special edition compact bottle as part of its 21-year celebrations. The 200ml bottles are available in the Sport and Universal variants of Wash & Go.
