The Home Move Box, sponsored by British Gas and Sky, delivers a home moving pack directly to home movers on the day they move into their new home. The box contains a number of essential items which the home mover will need on that first day. This includes products such as tea, coffee, sugar, toilet roll, cleaning agents, bin bags and plenty of offers which will help the home mover from day one in their new home.
Associated Newspapers are also involved in a bid to increase subscription orders for their newspaper and magazine titles. Meanwhile, Virgin wines offer £60 wine vouchers.
Home Move Box offers the brands free sampling reaching over 500,000 home movers annually.
Launched in February, box orders have hit 3,000 per week. Charles Wasdell, director of Home Move Box, says the process is simple: estate agents inform Home Move Box of the move date and address. and the box is then packed and distributed via Royal Mail, delivering directly to the home mover on the first day in their new home. This service is offered completely free to both the estate agents and the new homeowner.
