Continental centralises global documents

The world’s fourth largest tyre manufacturer, Continental, is standardising its document print and faxing into a single solution. HP Exstream has been given an extended contract, building on an existing relationship that delivers customer communications and document management services.

Continential will deploy HP Exstream Assured Delivery across all of its business, replacing a range of currently installed solutions. The system integrates and supports 40,000 SAP users globally who generate documents with their ERP system and need to print or fax them. The company has six divisions and was looking for a single global solution for its business critical documents which would also provide feedback on their delivery.

Simon Reynolds, group manager UK and Ireland, Enterprise Software, at HP says: “We’re very pleased that Continental has chosen to extend their suite of HP Exstream software and services. This illustrates the growing demand for innovative document management solutions that allow for flexible tailored communications.”

He adds: “Businesses are increasingly looking for ways to improve their direct communications with customers. HP Exstream is able to deliver this through a platform used by marketers, rather than traditional owners of databases.”
