The agency has been appointed by Iceland marketing director Nick Canning without a pitch.

The frozen food chain says that it will continue to work with incumbent agency Tom Reddy Advertising, and will work with both for the next two months.

Iceland is launching a spring product campaign created by Tom Reddy this week.

Beta is tasked with working on a creative project based on Iceland’s interactive campaign to find a customer to become the face of its advertising.

In February, Iceland launched a nationwide search to find a non-celebrity to become the “New Face of the brand” and following the departure of Coleen Nolan who is reforming The Nolans.

Iceland customers will be able to vote on the finalists and the new brand ambassador will be revealed in April.

The retail chain is turning away from celebrity advertising but has previously starred Kerry Katona and Jason Donovan in its ads.

Last year the chain dropped Kerry Katona as the face of its advertising after a photographs appeared in the media allegedly showing the start snorting cocaine.
