Selfridges to sponsor Harper’s Bazaar Beauty supplement

Harper’s Bazaar, National Magazine Company’s luxury fashion magazine, has partnered with department store Selfridges to launch its first ever beauty supplement.

It will be published with the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar available from 1 April.

The supplement is aimed at the publication’s fashion and beauty-conscious readers and features images by some of the world’s famous fashion and beauty photographers as well as beauty tips from style experts and celebrities.

The Selfridges sponsorship deal includes a six page advertorial showcasing makeup looks and includes an invitation to an in-store event to celebrate the summer make-up styles.

The event on 20 May will be hosted by Harper’s Bazaar beauty director Newby Hands and Selfridges’ menswear and beauty director David Walker-Smith.

The deal is the first of several advertising led initiatives NatMag has planned for its luxury titles group, which includes Esquire and Harper’s Bazaar.

Luxury group publishing director Tess Macleod-Smith says: “This first supplement is one of several initiatives that Bazaar is launching in 2010 as part of its commitment to the beauty industry.”
