Orange is aiming to build on the success of its Orange Film and Wednesdays campaigns by launching a competition using its Twitterfeed Twitflix that encourages users to send in synopses of classic movies each week.
The competition has received more than 275 entries since launch, according to Orange, with each entry reviewed by a panel of judges which eventually decides the winner.
The mobile operator aims to use the Orange Film campaign to build awareness of its Orange Wednesdays promotion which enables subscribers to get a two-for-one entry into cinemas nationwide on Wednesdays. The Orange Wednesdays iPhone app has been downloaded 600,000 times since its launch last November, according to the operator, and is soon scheduled to launch on the Android Marketplace.
