Liverpool sponsor in TV push

Standard Chartered will launch its first brand positioning television campaign for 40 years on 21 April.

The four television commercials, created by TBWA, aim to underline the bank’s commitment to customers, clients, sustainability and heritage.

The TV activity is the latest stage in its “Here for Good” campaign following print, digital and outdoor activity.

Susan Ho, head of group brand development at Standard Chartered, says the campaign aims to explain “who we are, who we were and who we want to be”.

She adds the bank hopes its four-year sponsorship of Liverpool Football Club, which starts in July, will boost awareness of the brand.
The sponsorship will be activated through customer promotions for its retail banking customers, hospitality and in-stadium activity.
