Mars is also giving 15 people the chance to appear alongside Barnes in the new advert to show their support for the England Team and inspire the nation to sing for England.
The confectioner asked Barnes if he would feature in an ad after a survey showed that the song, 20 years after it was originally released, is still loved by fans, coming in the country’s top three favourite World Cup songs ever
Mars, the official supplier to the England team, says it wants to play a part as a ‘twelfth man’, famous for their ability to rouse their team and research.
The company has already changed its iconic black packaging to a white kit, inspired by the England home shirt and the St George’s Cross, in support of the England team.
