Sources confirmed to Marketing Week that Sleight is leaving the soft drinks giant, though full details of her departure are unclear.
The move comes as Coca-Cola undergoes a review of its European marketing and business operations.
Coca-Cola Europe is reviewing 150 jobs in 38 countries. It is currently in consultation with staff over redundancies, and it is unclear how Slight’s planned departure will affect the review.
Sleight has been marketing director since 2006, having previously held the same post at Allied Domecq from 2001 to 2004.
The most recent work led by her was a new ad campaign for the Oasis brand, themed around making British lunchtimes better.
Coca-Cola Great Britain has also sought to boost awareness of its different Coke variants with a television advertisement featuring all three options, ahead of rivals Pepsi focusing attention on its bigger size on-the-go bottle ranges and agreed a partnership with ITV under the strap line “Saturday night tastes better with Coca-Cola and ITV1” which is currently running.
Coca-Cola works with Mother, VCCP, Carlson Marketing, Vizeum and M&C Saatchi Sports & Entertainment in the UK.
A company spokesperson says: “Because consultation with employees is ongoing, we are unable to comment further on the proposals.”
