City AM to publish evening special for election results

City AM, London’s financial newspaper, is launching a special evening edition to carry the general election result on Friday, called City PM.

City PM, aims to be one of the first newspapers to reveal the final result and will be handed out to commuters on their way home from work in the City, Canary Wharf and Mayfair.

Sponsored by IG Index, the newspaper will provide up-to-date news, graphics and analysis to its readers in London’s business and financial districts.

City AM editor Allister Heath says: “This is an extremely exciting chance to be one of the first publications to print the result of the election. We’re very confident this will be a success and, supported by IG Index, look forward to entering the evening newspaper market for just one day.”

IG Group, David Hodge, group Marketing Director adds: “IG Index is the UK’s leading financial spread betting company offering clients a simple, tax free way to profit from rising and falling financial markets. We are always supportive of well targeted new media ideas such as the City PM election special. Financial markets and general elections are closely linked and the outcome of Thursday’s vote will be monitored closely for its impact on the financial markets.”

City PM was a deal negotiated by MediaCom for IG Index.
