Keep Britain Tidy looks for new media agency

Anti-litter lobby group Keep Britain Tidy is on the hunt for a media agency to support its ramped up marketing activity.

The environmental charity overhauled its advertising and direct marketing agency roster last November, adding integrated agency Inferno and reappointing Dig for Fire and Lake Design. The media agency contract is for a three year period.

The charity has previously admitted its anti-litter message had “lost its way” and pledged last year to expand the group’s marketing team and activity under the newly appointed chief executive, Phil Barton.

Recent activity has seen a renewed focus on involving schoolchildren in litter awareness with the “Litter Busters” programme. Keep Britain Tidy also manages the Eco-Schools show, due to take place in June, which helps educate children about the environment and sustainable lifestyles.

The organisation changed its name to Encams in 2001 but has since returned to its original name.
