Designed by MCBD, the ad shows the celebrity chef in South Africa describing the projects the Foundation supports.
He also gives a quick lesson back at home on how to prepare ’Heston’s lemon tart’ using Waitrose Foundation unwaxed lemons. For every pack of lemons sold, money is donated to the Foundation.
The Waitrose Foundation has so far raised over £2.5m helping farm workers and their families with everything from education to childcare.
Waitrose signed up television chef Heston Blumenthal, as well as Delia Smith, in March. The two are starring in a series of ads – TV, press and online – created by MCBD.
Both will also act as food ambassadors for the Waitrose brand in a bid to inspire cooks, share their expertise and showcase recipes.
