Plusnet tasks Karmarama with national launch activity

Plusnet, the BT Group owned internet service provider (ISP), has appointed Karmarama to handle its integrated advertising account ahead of its national launch later this year.

Plusnet was founded in 1997, and has over 200,000 customers across the UK. BT acquired it in January 2007.

The agency won the account following a competitive pitch against three undisclosed agencies, and will be responsible for developing a campaign that promotes Plusnet as a national ISP, instead of a regional specialist.

It will also create a number of campaigns to raise the profile of Plusnet and help them attract new customers and build stronger relationships with their existing customer base.

Nick Rawlings, commercial and marketing director at Plusnet, says the agency will offer them ’”real creativity and vigour in conveying an understanding of our business and the challenges at hand.”

Ben Bilboul, managing partner at Karmarama, adds: “Plusnet have hugely ambitious targets and a great team – which makes them a dream client for Karmarama. We’re looking forward to helping make Plusnet a household name that can go head to head with the biggest and best in the category”.
