Sony Ericsson unveils World Cup social media campaign

Sony Ericsson is getting into a world cup mood by unveiling a new social media campaign, backed by TV personalities David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and James Corden.

The activity will be hosted on the Sony Ericsson UK Facebook page, and will be micro-blogged on Twitter.

The exclusive content from the official World Cup sponsor includes podcasts from Baddiel and Skinner, reporting from South Africa on anything and everything to do with teams, managers, players and fans.

Sony Ericsson says it is targeting football fans across the world to take part and interact. It will also host a Twitter Cup collating global World Cup tweets into a visual representation of what people are saying about each team.

To score extra points, tweet using #TWC and your country name. The golden tweet using #TWC will win an X10 on every England match day.

A competition-winning Absolute Radio listener, James Roe, also won a competition in April to report from South Africa using a Sony Ericsson Vivaz as he follows England throughout the group stage, which will feature in the coverage.
