Ex-Army’s Bainbridge in sudden exit from RBS

Former British Army marketing chief Mark Bainbridge has left his recruitment marketing role at the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Bainbridge was appointed to the new role of head of employer branding and recruitment marketing for the part-nationalised bank in September 2008. It is not known whether he has a job to go.

Before joining RBS, he held the British Army position of marketing and communications director for almost a decade.

While there, he is said to have been responsible for overhauling the Army’s recruitment campaign strategy. He also led the rebranding exercises for the Territorial Army and Royal Regiment of Scotland as well as developing its digital strategy.

A spokeswoman for RBS would not say whether Bainbridge would be replaced.
