Former BARB director takes on chief exec role at Rajar

Radio Joint Audience Research (Rajar) has named Jerry Hill as its new chief executive officer.

Hill will join the radio audience measurement body on 6 September. He replaces Sally de la Bedoyere, who stepped down at the beginning of June.

Hill was formerly worldwide strategic development director for media agency Initiative Media, a division of United News & Media.

He has also held roles at sponsorship agency TSMS and Anglia TV and served as a director of television audience measurement body BARB. He is a former chairman of ITV research and chairman of the IPA’s five-year strategy group.

Rajar chairman David Mansfield says: “It is very important for the radio industry that the day-to-day running of Rajar is in professional and capable hands and we feel confident that Jerry is this person.”
