Wilson joins from Premier Foods, where he was director of grocery, responsible for the Sweet Business Unit.
The switch comes just a few days after Premier confirmed the arrival of Jaspal Chada as international director of grocery from Burton’s Foods.

Wilson starts on 6 September and will mainly be responsible for devising, planning and implementing the marketing strategy for Jammie Dodgers, Maryland Cookies and Cadbury biscuits – which Burton’s bakes under license.

Prior to his role at Premier, Wilson was vice president, EU Biscuits Category at Kraft Foods, having held a number of positions with the company, both in the UK and internationally.

Burton’s Foods CEO, Ben Clarke says Wilson is arriving at a time when the company is “investing significantly to drive growth”.
