Harper joins from Eurostar where he was general manager, leisure sales, looking after the UK and international markets. Before that he was global account manager at British Airways.
He will take up responsibility for driving the brand’s media and retail divisions forward and work alongside marketing director Mark Bloxham. Both report to managing director Victoria Sanders.
She says: “This is a new appointment to our board of directors and a key strategic role as we look to grow the business. As well as working with our travel partners selling through our website and television platforms, we are also ramping up our own retail operation and continue to establish brand partnerships with companies such as Tesco and others.
“With his commercial experience for blue chip travel brands, he will bring new ideas and energy to the business at an exciting time of change.”
Teletext switched off its news and information services via analogue and digital in January this year
DMGT, owner of parent group A&N Media, has just closed the Associated Northcliffe Digital (AND) division and subsumed Teletext Holidays into A&N Media.
Sanders now reports to A&N Media CEO Kevin Beatty.
