Holiday companies sign up Spurs and Arsenal
Thomas Cook Sport has extended its travel partnership with Tottenham Hotspur FC for another four years.
However, Thomas Cook Sport’s commercial relationship with Tottenham’s North London rivals, Arsenal, will not continue this season.
Arsenal’s travel partner for the next three years will now be rival holiday company Thomson Sport. The deal will see Thomson Sport become Arsenal’s official UK travel agency partner, team travel supplier and supporters’ travel supplier.
As part of the package, Thomson Sport will operate a holiday club ’Arsenal Holiday Hub’ allowing fans access to an automatic discount on Thomson and First Choice holidays. Fans will also be able to book accommodation for away matches in the UK and overseas and receive an automatic discount.
Tottenham’s fans will have similar offers through a ’Holiday Club’ offering an opportunity to buy holidays at guaranteed discount prices from any Thomas Cook or Going Places store. The deal is said to be worth £500k, a five-fold increase on the previous agreement.
Earlier this month, Tottenham announced a new Barclays Premier League shirt sponsorship deal with IT company Autonomy.
