Eurostar launches crowdsourced reviews site

Eurostar has launched a social media platform that aggregates customer reviews and experiences about European destinations.

The site, europebyeurostar.com, asks people to share their top tips about European cities and favourite places at destinations accessed by Eurostar, such as Amsterdam, Brussels or Paris.

Visitors can read the tips and narrow them down by either city or type of activity, such as food & drink or fashion & beauty. They can also select tips from a Google Map, which plots the latest submissions.

The campaign was created by social media agency We Are Social and forms part of a wider campaign around the tagline ’Exploring is beautiful’. The site also includes a blog, which helps to curate the latest and best tips form the site.

Robin Grant, MD of We Are Social, said, “Travel is about experience, conversation and sharing, which are the key elements of social media. Eurostar understands that by reaching out to the public it can help build a wealth of knowledge. We’ve tried to ensure anyone planning a trip around Europe can take advantage of what other people have learned.”
