Havas reports strong growth in UK

Marketing services group Havas, owner of Euro RSCG, Arena, MPG UK and Archibald Ingall Stretton, has posted first half revenue growth of 4.2%, year on year.

The company, chaired by Vincent Bolloré (pictured), reported group revenue of €729m (£603m) for the first half of the year ending 30 June.

The company results show the UK returned to positive organic growth with a quarter two increase of 4.6% but outside France the rest of Europe “is still suffering from a slowdown in growth. Overall, Havas posted organic growth of 2% for quarter two, giving a total of 1.8% for the first half.

The group’s main financial driver is North America, while Latin America provided double-digit growth and Asia Pacific mixed growth.

Digital activity contributed 17% of total revenue, compared with 16% for the same period in 2009.
