Harte-Hanks closes deal for Information Arts

Harte-Hanks has formally acquired UK-based data-driven marketing services provider Information Arts to expand its footprint in B2B marketing across Europe. The American company took an exclusive option to acquire the British business in late 2007 and has finally exercised the call.

Information Arts will operate as part of Harte-Hanks Direct Marketing, with current business leaders Simon Lawrence and Gary Selby remaining in place, reporting to international group managing director Robert Howells. The company already uses its new owner’s Trillium Software system as well as the Ci Technology Database as part of its client proposition.

Mike Bull, global database marketing manager at Cisco, a client of Information Arts and Harte-Hanks for three years, said: “Working with Information Arts has allowed Cisco to realize the full potential of the contact data held within our marketing systems and to capitalise intelligently on this data. The capability available through both Harte-Hanks and Information Arts will prove a powerful combination and I am confident that our relationship will be a long and fruitful one.”

Information Arts has operated as a data independent since 2000 and has built a reputation for its analysis-driven approach. The new deal will see it able to expand its international reach and grow organically.
