The Sun reveals perfume

Tabloid newspaper The Sun is launching a perfume, which will be advertised via scented billboard adverts.

The tabloid, which is owned by News International, says the aim of launching the branded perfume “Buzz” is to “bottle the concept of pure entertainment”.

“Buzz” will initially be sold exclusively in luxury London department store Harrods at £59 per 50ml, but a spokesperson says if it is a success the fragrance could potentially be rolled out to further retailers.

The Sun is running scented billboard ads, opposite Harrods to drive sales and give consumers a sample of the fragrance.

The perfume has been created by Roja Dove and blends the scents jasmine and ylang ylang, vanilla and sandalwood.

The scented outdoor ads were provided by outdoor agency Clear Channel.
