First Drinks appoints marketing chief

First Drinks, which markets brands including Glenfiddich, Grant’s and Rémy Martin in the UK, has appointed former Kimberly Clark marketer Una McCullough as its new marketing director.

McCullough has been interim marketing chief since June but has now been confirmed as the permanent replacement for Katie Rawll, who recently left to become global brand director for Scotch whisky brand Glenfiddich.

First Drinks is a wholly owned subsidiary of William Grant & Sons. It distributes, sells and handles the marketing for its parent company’s brand portfolio, which also includes Balvenie, Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey and Sailor Jerry in addition to Glenfiddich and Grant’s.

It also handles Rémy Cointreau brands Rémy Martin and Cointreau.

McCullough’s appointment follows yesterday’s (8 September) announcement by William Grant & Sons that is to open a new global marketing office in Dublin to manage the entire global marketing operations for its non-Scotch brands.

Prior to First Drinks, McCullough was responsible for regional marketing within Kimberly Clark and has also held senior marketing positions at Imperial Tobacco and Diageo.
