New 118 118 TV ad launches

Telephone directory service 118 118 launches its new TV ad campaign tonight (14 September) on ITV.
The new ad sees the familiar 118 118 moustached mascots team up with an Arnold Schwarzenegger-soundalike squirrel to sing the Ghostbusters theme tune ‘who you gonna call’ tagline.
After featuring tonight in the Coronation Street advert break, the campaign will further extend through sponsorship, principally ITV dramas.
The new ad was directed by Jonathan Hopkins, produced by Pulse Films and all media buying was handled by Zenith Optimedia.
As well as providing directory enquiries assistance, 118 118 provides train times, cinema listings and promises to answer virtually any question its customers can text.
In April this year the company revealed that 118 118 is the most dialled number in the UK.
118 118 had two high profile departures this year, with its marketing director leaving to set up his own consultancy in August and the CEO quitting in May.
