Coca-Cola moves Oasis ad account into VCCP

Coca-Cola has appointed VCCP to handle its advertising account for Oasis juices, after Mother resigned the business.

The agency, which already handles the soft drink giant’s 5 Alive and Coke Zero brands, will now be responsible for handling all above- the-line advertising for Oasis.

Mother began working on the advertising for Oasis in 2001 and has since created a number of high-profilecampaigns for the brand including the “Cactus Kid” and “Rubberduckzilla”. Its relationship with other brands on the Coca-Cola roster is unaffected by the Oasis move.

A Coca-Cola spokesperson says: “Mother is a long-standing and valued partner of The Coca-Cola Company. Mother decided not to pitch for the Oasis business. We have decided to appoint VCCP for this work”.

The move comes as Coke is ranked “best global brand” by brand consultancy Interbrand for the 11th consecutive year with a value estimated at $70.7bn (£45.25bn), up 2% on its 2009 total.
