Burger King launches location-enabled iPhone app
Burger King has launched a location-based iPhone app in the UK, letting customers find their nearest restaurant.
The app lets users share their location with friends through a link to Facebook and can also be used to distribute vouchers.
Burger King appointed digital agency Pancentric Digital to develop the free app which includes the full product menu and lists nutritional information for each meal.
Sarah Power, Burger King marketing director for the UK and Ireland, said the company planned further launches on the Apple App Store.
Burger King recently paired with Coca-Cola to promote its Gimme Credit campaign, which entitled customers to 50p of mobile phone credit after purchasing Fanta and Sprite at its restaurants.
Burger King was recently sold to private equity firm 3G Capital in a deal thought to be worth £2.1bn.
