EDF Energy launches energy saving ad campaign

EDF Energy is poised to launch a television advertising campaign to promote its new energy saving device.

The EcoManager tool is a wireless appliance controller that aims to help customers reduce their monthly energy bills.

Users can see and control the energy consumption of connected appliances from wherever the device is plugged in.

The TV ad is styled on the goodnight scene from classic US show “The Waltons” showing families saying goodnight to their appliances and switching them off remotely via the EcoManager device.

The 30-second ad spots break on Monday (20 September).

The integrated campaign also includes digital executions highlighting the environmental and cost benefits of using EcoManager and print and below the line activity in October.

Cameron Hughes, head of brand, EDF Energy says: “The new EcoManager from EDF Energy helps users take control of their energy consumption so they can change the way in which they use electricity in the home.
