Facebook launches pages discovery tool

Facebook has launched a tool to help users discover pages for brands, musicians and celebrities.

Page Browser suggests pages to a user based on what they like, allowing them to narrow down their browsing to categories such as sports, TV programmes, media, brands and films.

It also includes options to discover pages and interests based on your country, and it displays which of your friends are most similar to you based on the pages you’ve liked.

Ben Blumenfeld, a designer at Facebook who’s part of the team behind the project, said he wanted to create an easier way for users to discover new interests.

“If we could create a fun way to browse movies, TV shows and musicians, it would help people more easily express shared interests and keep updated about them,” he said.
