Bulat will drive the company’s “Smartphone for Everyone” strategy across Samsung’s mobile division in the UK.

It follows a huge marketing push from Samsung around the launch of its Galaxy Tab, seen as the first major contender to Apple’s iPad.

The electronics company has also appointed Keith O’Brien as head of content for the division.

The company says the new appointments highlight the company’s commitment to becoming the “leading content and service provider in the UK mobile industry.”

Bulat joins from Unilever, where he was category marketing director. He also spent nearly ten years at Reckitt Benckiser, holding a variety of marketing roles across Europe.

O’Brien, formerly of mobile companies FoneStarz and Vodafone, will be tasked with making Samsung Mobile a content provider for both the consumer and business users of all mobile devices, including games, video on demand, music, ebooks, magazines and newspapers.
